Meadow at Vypeen Island, Kochi

Located at Nayarambalam, a nature-blessed location, at the heart land of Vypeen Island. The home itself is a living pride of the traditional Kerala construction combined with modern architecture. The original construction is phase lifted without losing its soul and with all modern plush. With a total land area of about an acre, this residential home can easily accommodate 15 people at a time. But even if only a single person is accommodated in the house nobody else will be accomodated during the period of stay of the Guests .

The facilities provided and the ambience of the location makes the stay enjoyable. The air- conditioned, spacious bedrooms are fully furnished with bath attached always kept clean

The hygienic kitchen can be utilized by the guest to cook the desired dishes. The swimming pool, resembling the snake-boats of Kerala built on a natural ground water source is filled with fresh water, year around. A well maintained play area is another facility that attracts children.

How to Reach

By Air: Cochin International airport (Nedumbassery)
Meadow at Vypeen island is located about 25 Km from the Air Port. The meadow can be reached via Kottayil kovilakom, a place of tourist attraction in Paravur and the shortest route from the Air Port . Prepaid taxis are available .

By Rail: Ernakulam Town and Ernakulam Junction Railway Stations are at 14 Kms away from the Vypeen Meadow and easily accessible by prepaid taxis and even by regular buses.

By Road: The Meadow can be reached via the famous Gosree bridges from the Kerala High Court Jn by taxis or buses enjoying the back waters of cochin . The Vallarpadam Pilgrim Centre enroute may be another attraction

Cherai beach: 15 Km stretch of golden beach is the nearest destination from Meadow (10km). It is a very clean, shallow beach and it is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The main event in this beach is the tourism fest during December. The newly developed beautiful Kuzhipilly Beach is only 10 Kms away from the Meadow.

Thriprayar temple: Temple dedicated to lord Rama. The main festival of this temple are Pooram and Ekadashi. The festival fall in the month of November-December.

Cheraman Juma Masjid : Renowned as the first Mosque constructed in India, the Masjid is built around 629 AD in the typical local style of architecture and the bodies of some of the original followers are said to have been buried here.

St. Mar Thomas Church: Christ’s apostle, St Thomas landed in Kodungallur in 52 AD. This church is believed to be the first Christian church in India. The St.Thomas Church established by him houses ancient relics and reflects the Christian culture in south India.

Cranganore Fort: otherwise known as Kodungallur Fort, was built by the Portuguese in 1503, and was destroyed by Zamorin and Tipu sultan. Now remains only as relics.

Guruvayoor Temple: The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple reflects the classic kerala architecture style with Koothambalam ( theatre hall) and Anapanthal. The temple is famous all over India.
